  11.       Temple Chief (Hierophant, Priest)
  12.       Kerux (Herald, Guard and Assistant)

  14.  (Kerux performs the Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram.)
  15.  
  16.  Temple Chief: (Rises with a knock, and says) Do what thou wilt
  17. shall be the whole of the Law.
  18.  
  19.  (All others rise with a knock, and say) Love is the law, love
  20. under will.
  21.  
  22.  Kerux:  (Goes to North-East, to Hierophant's right, faces West,
  23. and says)  The Word of the Law is Thelema! 
  24.  
  25.  Temple Chief:  Frater Kerux, assist me to open the Temple.  See
  26. that the Temple is properly guarded.
  27.  
  28.  (Kerux goes to the Temple door and assures himself that all is
  29. secure.  He then returns to his station and faces the Temple
  30. Chief.)

  32.  Kerux: Very Honoured Chief, the Temple is properly guarded.
  33.  
  34.  Temple Chief:  What Element do we meet to invoke this holy day?
  35.  
  36.  Kerux:  The Element (Element).
  37.  
  38.  Temple Chief:  Fellow Magicians, let us give the Sign of
  39. [Element].
  40.  
  41.  (All give the Elemental Sign. Temple Chief then performs the
  42. Lesser Invoking Pentagram Ritual of [Element].)
  43.  
  44.  Temple Chief:  Let us adore the Supreme Lord of the Universe!
  45.  
  46.  (All face East and give the Sign of the Flaming Star, otherwise
  47. called the Sign of Osiris Risen.)
  48.  
  49.  Temple Chief:  Adoration be unto Thee, Lord of the Universe: for
  50. Thou hast permitted us to enter thus far into the Sanctuary of
  51. Thine Ineffable Mystery; and hast vouchsafed to manifest unto us
  52. some little fragment of the Glory of Thy Supreme Being. Hear us,
  53. Thou Vast and Mighty One; hear us, and grant that our Will be
  54. done!  Grant that we may ever uphold and exercise Thine Holy Way
  55. of Liberty, as gods who are free to do their Will amongst the
  56. legions of the living; and grant unto us the comprehension of
  57. aught that may bring us nearer unto Thee. Teach us, Lord Horus,
  58. more and more of Thy Mystery and Thy Mastery. Let each day and
  59. night and hour bring us nearer, near unto Thee. Let us aid Thee
  60. in Thy Great Work upon earth, so that we may one day become truly
  61. united unto Thee in all Thy Infinite Glory of Light, Life, Love
  62. and Liberty.  Let there be a link of unity between us, that we
  63. may ever seek, and seeking, obtain Freedom and Knowledge in Thee
  64. who art our very Selfhood, that we may duly partake of Thy
  65. Supreme Essence of Power to attain the Grand Philosopher's Stone,
  66. the Summum Bonum, True Wisdom and Perfect Happiness.

  68.  And for this day, teach us how we may learn from Thee the
  69. Mysteries of Thy Transcendental Magick of Light: how we may gain
  70. from the Dwellers in the bright Elements their knowledge and
  71. power, and how best we may use that knowledge and power to assist
  72. our fellow men and women to accomplish Thy Great Work upon earth.

  74.  By the Sign of Light (trace Cross in air) appear Thou glorious
  75. upon the Throne of the Sun.  Make open the Path of Intelligence
  76. and Creation between us and our minds.  Enlighten our
  77. understanding. Encourage our hearts. Let thy Light crystallize
  78. itself in our blood, fulfilling us of resurrection. Let Thy
  79. Splendid Radiance shine forth from the East, illuminating this
  80. Temple and aiding us in the magical work which we now undertake.

  83.  (Temple Chief goes to the proper elemental quadrant, and with his
  84. Wand he traces the Invoking Spirit Pentagram and Invoking
  85. Elemental Pentagram.)

  87.  Temple Chief:  In the Name of
  88.       (Earth)  Adonai     (Air)  Yehovah
  89.       (Water)  Al         (Fire) Elohim
  90.  Spirits of [Element] adore your Creator!

  92.  (He again traces the invoking Elemental Pentagram.)

  95.       (Earth)  Auriel     (Air)  Raphael
  96.       (Water)  Gabriel    (Fire) Elohim
  97.  Great Archangel of [Element], Spirits of [Element], adore your
  98. Creator!

  100.  (He makes the proper Kerubic Sign in the centre of the
  101. Pentagram.)

  118.  Temple Chief:  Frater Kerux, in the Name of the Lord of the
  119. Element [Element], I bid you declare that the Temple is duly
  120. opened.

  122.  Kerux:  In the Name of [God Name of Element], I declare this
  123. Temple duly opened in the Element of [Element].

  129.  Temple Chief:  (Rises with a knock, and says) Do what thou wilt

  138. that the Temple is properly guarded.

  140.  (Kerux goes to Temple door and assures himself that all is
  141. secure. He then returns to his station and faces the Temple
  142. Chief.)

  144.  Kerux:  Very Honoured Chief, the Temple is properly guarded.

  146.  Temple Chief:  Let us adore the Lord of [Element]!

  151. eternity.

  153.  (All give Elemental Sign.  Temple Chief goes to Quarter of
  154. Element.  All others face that direction.)

  156.  Temple Chief:  Let us rehearse the Prayer of the [Element].

  158.  (Temple Chief recites the appropriate Elemental Prayer.)

  160.  (Temple Chief traces the Banishing Spirit Pentagram and Banishing
  161. [Element] Pentagram.)

  163.  Temple Chief:  Depart ye in peace unto your abodes and
  164. habitations.  May the blessing of [God Name of Element] be upon
  165. you.  Be there peace between us; and be ye ready to come when
  166. called.
  167.  
  168.  (Temple Chief returns to his throne.)

  170.  Temple Chief:  In the Name of [God Name of Element], I declare
  171. this Temple duly closed in the Element of [Element].

  175.  (All sit. Kerux performs the Lesser Banishing Pentagram Ritual of
  176. [Element].)

  178.  (Important Note:  The Lesser Ritual of the Pentagram may be used
  179. to invoke or banish any of the four elements.  In all cases, the
  180. god names stay the same, that is, IHVH in the East, ADNI in the
  181. South, AHIH in the West, and AGLA in the North.  The only
  182. difference is that the appropriate Elemental Pentagram is used in
  183. each case.)
